Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Kevin began his
musical life when at age 5 he found the Ed
Sullivan Show.  From that day on he has
steadily pursued and developed his musical
taste, which continues today.

At age 13, he started playing the guitar at
nightclubs performing music from Latin to
Funk, to Rock & Roll.  

At age 17, Kevin recorded with Khalid Yasin
(Larry Young), a noted jazz organist.  Through
his friend Rodney "Skeet" Curtis and his
connections, Kevin was lucky enough to land a
spot as guitarist with P-Funk at age 21.  

His primary guitar influences are Jimi Hendrix,
Alvin Lee, Santana, Mark Farner, Jimmy Nolen,
John McLaughlin, , Mike Hampton, Eddie Hazel,
just to name a few.
Kevin has recorded or played with Bootsy,
Don Blackman, Bo Diddley, Dave Grusin,
Bernard Wright, Victor Bailey, Marcus Miller,
Rodney "Skeet" Curtis, Maceo Parker, Foley,
Kenny Garrett, Dave Weckl, Lenny White,
Chester Thompson (Genesis), Stanton Moore,  
Victor Wooten, John Blackwell (Prince),
Michael Bland (Paul Westerburg and Prince),
Gary Grainger, Dennis Chambers, and
the list goes on.

He has opened for Joe Tex, Bohannon,
RareEarth, Evelyn "Champagne" King,  
The Crusaders, Queen Ida, NRBQ, Albert King,
Rick Derringer, Jim Carroll,  Webb Wilder,
Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown,  James Brown,
Ray Charles, Frankie Avalon, Jan and Dean,
David Cassidy, Don McClean, Sheena Easton,
Kool and the Gang, Billy Ocean, Johnny Winter
among many others.
